Corrections
We fix errors when we find them. This page documents all corrections made to Fuji Skyline content.
We believe in transparent correction. When we discover an error in our content — whether it's a factual mistake, a coordinate error, a broken link, or outdated information — we fix it and record the correction here. This page serves as a public log of changes that affect the accuracy of our content.
Our Correction Policy
1. We correct factual errors as soon as we're aware of them, typically within 48 hours.
2. We record all corrections on this page with the date of correction and a description of what was changed.
3. We don't silently edit content without noting the change.
4. If a correction significantly changes the meaning of an article, we note the correction at the point of change in the article itself.
5. Readers can submit correction suggestions through our contact form.

Error: Incorrect floor area ratio cited for Shinjuku skyscraper district. Original text stated "floor area ratios exceeding 1,500%."
Correction: Changed to "floor area ratios exceeding 1,000%." The 1,500% figure applied to a specific redevelopment zone, not the district average. Correction verified against Tokyo Metropolitan Government Urban Development Bureau data.

Error: Shinobazu Pond incorrectly described as "lotus-free in winter." The pond maintains partial lotus coverage year-round due to root systems.
Correction: Changed description to note that lotus coverage is reduced but not absent in winter. Verified against Ueno Park management office.

Error: API fetch failing silently for some users due to mixed content issues on HTTP connections.

Error: Haneda Airport described as 10 kilometers south of Shinagawa. Actual distance is approximately 12 kilometers in a straight line, 15-20 kilometers by road.
Correction: Changed to "roughly 12 kilometers south" with clarification that this is straight-line distance. Verified against GSI topographic data.

Error: Tokyo green space per capita stated as 3.5 square meters. Current figure (2023 TMG data) is 5.5 square meters per capita.
Correction: Updated figure to 5.5 square meters and added source citation: Tokyo Metropolitan Government, "Tokyo Green Space Statistics 2023." The 3.5 figure was from a 2015 report and was outdated.

How to Submit a Correction
If you believe you've found an error in our content, please let us know. We take all correction submissions seriously and investigate them promptly.
To submit a correction:
1. Email maps@fujiskyline.com or use our contact form.
2. Include the page URL and the specific text you believe is incorrect.
3. Include your source or reasoning for the correction.
4. Include your name (or indicate if you prefer anonymity).
We review all submissions within 5 business days. If we can verify the correction, we implement it and add it to this log. If we can't verify it, we may contact you for more information or note the dispute in the article.
We credit external correction submissions unless you request anonymity. Credit appears in the correction log above.
Minor Corrections Not Logged
We don't log the following types of changes:
- Typo fixes that don't affect meaning.
- Broken link updates.
- Formatting adjustments.
- Date updates (e.g., changing "last year" to a specific year).
- Contact information updates.
These changes are made as needed without logging. Only corrections that affect factual accuracy are recorded on this page.
